Wine Wednesday
This weeks wine feature I happen to have seen on Dooce's blog. When I saw it I loved the label so much I wrote it down as one to try to find. Not thinking that it would be an easy task to find but I still wrote it down on my to find/buy list. But as luck would have it I walked into our Publix the other night and there it was sitting on the shelf begging me to buy it so of course I did.
Plungerhead - 2007 Lodi "Old Vine" Zinfandel
"Fresh crushed berries perfectly laced between a core of oak and cinnamon spice with notes of white pepper and sweet plum."
The wine was good! It was a bit drier then I normally like but by the second glass I really didn't mind. I will tell you that D'man really liked it and between the two of us we did finish off the bottle in no time.
I picked up the bottle for about $20 and I would have to say it was worth it!
I believe I may have to go pick that one up...sounds like my kinda red!
Okay, out of all the wines you have tried, which are three of your favorites?? We are having a painting party this weekend and next and I thought I would bring some wine for when we wind down in the evening! Let me know what you think!
I'm going to track down a bottle of that for the weekend!
