Sunday's Crock Pot Cooking
Yesterday I made two things in the crock pot.
The first one was an Artichoke and Nacho Cheese Dip. This is really easy to make and only take 2 hours. It's perfect for a party {you would need to double it} or just to have as an afternoon snack like we did.
Artichoke and Nacho Cheese Dip
1 can nacho cheese soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
2 cans artichoke hearts, chopped {I chop it really small so the kids don't have big chucks or they won't eat it}
1 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
1 can evaporated milk
2 minced garlic cloves
paprika

Combine all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours.
Serve over chips or as a dip.
After that was done and I cleaned up the crock pot I started dinner.
Chicken 'n' Dumplings
3 cans chunky white chicken
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 soup cans of water
4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits {8 biscuits}
Mix all ingredients except biscuits in crock pot and stir.
Cut the biscuits into quarters and place on top of mixture.
Cook 5 hours on low....stir and then cook another hour on low and serve.
The original recipe does call for 1 can of veg-all but my kids won't eat it like that so I make it like this and then I made a can of peas with carrots for D'man and I to have with it.
This is a very easy meal to make and tastes just like grandma would make!

I have everything in the pantry for the chicken and dumplings, so I believe we will be trying that one for dinner this week. Looks delish!
Oh I can't wait to try this one!
Might have to try that chicken and dumplings! AFTER the wedding though. It's go time!
Those dumplings look especially good!
that dip looks yummo
OMG that all looked so good. My friend at a party had Avocado and Jalapeno pepper dip...it was so good. I never had Avocado before.
I am going to try these for sure!
Girl, these both look so yummy!
