A show down....
Friday night it was the boys vs the girls in the biggest ginger bread house show down ever know to mankind!
My father had sent the kids a pre-made ginger bread house complete with tons of candy and stuff to decorate it with.
A guy I work with, and we all love, makes his own ginger bread from scratch and cuts out all the pieces and then supplies the kids with directions on how to build it. He also gave them tons of candy to decorate with (can we say sugar high?)
Anyway we had two sets so the show down was on....boys vs girls!
The girls grabbed the pre-made kit and went to work and things were looking good for them....
The boys had a big disadvantage as they had to make their own icing - but D'man was on it and things were starting to come together for the boys.....
The girls took the lead and finished first with a very pretty little house....
The boys did very well and came in second place with this.....
and the judge sat back and enjoyed a glass of wine and thought to herself this is why I do all the decorating in our house :)
THE GIRLS RULE!!!!

For having to make their own icing - that boy house really isn't bad. The girl house IS much cuter - and neater - though!!
