GIVE -A- WAY
Inspired by Earth Day, April 22, 2009
As many of you have read, well I hope you are really reading my posts not just skimming over them, I have been trying to make small changes in our house regarding going "green". While in the grocery store {Publix here in Florida} I picked up these grocery tote bags.
I love them and they are kind of cute. They hold so much stuff and are very durable. I always have way too many of those plastic bags from the grocery store and find my self throwing them away most of the time.
I also picked up these stainless steel drinking containers. They say "iThink Green, Reuse, Refill, and Rehydrate!"

So what does this mean for you? Well I am giving away one stainless steel water bottle and two, yes two cause I'm a giver and all, grocery tote bags.
All you have to do is comment away and tell me what you are doing to help save our environment. If you put a link up on your blog about my give away I will give you 5 extra entries. I am going to draw the winner on April 22nd, Earth Day!
So come on and show me some love!

I have gone green in a few ways. I have switched to all green products to clean with.
I too have purchased a sports bottle that is BPA free, and by using that bottle and not buying those plastic ones over and over, I am saving landfill space.
If I have plastic bags from the grocery store, I recycle them by reusing them in one way or another.
Going green is such a good thing for our environment. In most cases, it is easy to do.
I posted a linky doo on my blog about your awesome giveaway.
While at our local grocery store, I bought some of the reusable bags. They are durable and I think they hold a lot more groceries.
I recycle just about everything and we use water bottles instead of bottled water. I am looking into getting the metal bottles because they are really cute.
I use laundry soap that is environmentally friendly and even hang out laundry instead of using the dryer on really nice days.
Personally, we recycle glass, paper/cardboard, aluminum and plastics. At work, I've implemented a "Go Green" program to recycle all paper/carboard, aluminum and plastics. Also, replaced all styrofoam (cups/bowls) with Eco-tainer paper products, instituted a brown paper recycling for restroom hand towels and installed sensors on lighting throughout 175K squarefeet of office space. We've always recycled white paper but have now reduced our corporate 'waste' from five '8 yard' dumpsters a week to less than two.. :) :) :)
I've just started looking into the whole green thing. I have a few friends who have started so I've checking it out! Going to put up my link here in a little while!!
We do our best to recycle everything possible in our house and Veronica has been using reusable grocery bags for a while.
I'd love those water bottles!!!
we try to be greener by:
-green cleaners
-not using plastic/brown bags. use these reuseable ones
-try to eat organic as much as possible
-dont buy paper plates or throw away water bottles, cans of soda, etc...
-overall dont be wasteful
We are THE recycling family. And I mean everything! We even give all the money we get from recycling to our church.
I stopped getting the plastic bags in the grocery store. I only get paper. Then I use them for collecting our recycling the house and for our returnable bottles.
I'll post a link too...
I too am trying to be more "Green"
I'm somewhat of a Publix snob...But did you know that Albertsons gives us a 5 cent credit per reusable bag?
I use reusable bags they really do hold alot of stuff. I luv mine and saw those cute ones the other day at Publix
I compost for my Huge garden
I wash on cold water
We use a water pitcher that stay in the fridge for water no water bottles here
Okay, so we all know I get one (or five) fountain cokes from the BP every day.
I've been taking my cup back with me and refilling instead of getting new ones.
I know it's not much but durnit, I'm trying here!
I was shocked that MY HUSBAND bought light bulbs that were more energy efficient. He seems so oblivious to the green movement. We could do a LOT more than we are currently doing but we have to start somewhere. Baby steps are still steps forward.
I haven't start going green yet. Sorry I'm behind the times. I see all these reuseable bags everwhere but haven't picked one up. I guess now is as good a time as any, because all I do is recycle paper in my household!
I use energy efficient light bulbs, I try to remember to use the reusable grocery bags I bought and I don't use too many ziploc bags... I try to use only containers I can reuse.
I'm linking to you on my blog too. I've been WANTING one (or a few) of these bottles and I LOVE the bag!
I have a couple of those same bags.... from Publix.... we must be closer than we think. I am in Orlando, central florida...
But, I'd still love to win....count me in!!!
OK... go check out my blog... I posted about the contest.... So, do I get extra entries since you won my contest.... j/k (or am I??) hee-hee!!! :)
We are doing a couple of things, using reusable bags, planting a veggie garden for the 2nd year in a row, composting a little bit using yard and household waste, and looking for natural ways to clean house without the use of harsh chemicals to keep family members AND pets safe! Stop by my blog and say hello too!

I have gone 'green' in couple of ways.
Reusable shopping bags, LED light bulbs, shutting off more water\electricity.
I like those bags - they are cute - all the ones I have seen are ugly
Awesome give away idea! I've been doing my best to be "green" I try to unplug things when I'm not using them and turn off my surge protectors. Sometimes that bites me in the butt, when i forget to turn it back on after plugging my cell phone in. :)I'm posting this on my site for more people to hear about.
Ok, I REEALLY want this! My Publix doesn't have the cute Earth Day bags... we only have the option to buy green or black! POOIE!
I need to win this...
Oh no! It looks like I found your blog a little too late. I'm also doing a giveaway on my blog. Come visit me and you'll see how I'm trying to inspire others.
